Zac Efron sat down with “M” Magazine (September 2008 Issue), and talked about he chose to act.
“Like Troy in HSM 3, I had to make hard decisions, like choosing between going away to college or following my acting dreams. A lot of my friends didn’t get that part of my life for while, High School is hard in general. I wanted all the M readers out there to know we’ve all felt like the outsider- - you are not alone!”
Vaction
According to “M” Magazine Vanessa and Zac went on a vacation to Turks and Caicos.
“We put in a lot of long hours while filming the movie and didn’t have much time off,”Zac said.
It is good that they got to get away, and have fun, while enjoying each others company.
Doors
Is Zac Like Jason Bourne?
According to the October 17, 2008 Issue of Entertainment Weekly, Zac has to some times dodge the paparazzi and fans.
“I’m always bobbing and weaving through the alleyways trying to get to meetings, scouting out and looking outside doors and running around like Jason Bourne,” Zac said
Zac has admitted that he loves secret agent movies.
“I’ve always loved secret agent movies, whether it be James Bond or Bourne Identity . Now I’m kind of living it.”
Zac continues with who he wants to talk with, “I would love to just sit down and talk with Leonardo Dicaprio and Johnny Depp and pick their brains about their early careers. They do it because they love it, not because they enjoy being famous. You have to have good fore-sight and be really careful at a very young age, you can really mess up.”
This Rumor is False
There have been rumors that Zac Efron did not take showers, but that is false according to www.okmagazine.com.
Zac tells Moviefone,”I assure you I showered this morning. Minutes before I got here. And I do it every day. Sometimes twice. So, that’s kind of funny. But my dad was kind of like razzing me for it. I can’t help but laugh.”
To the rumors… Come on… If he did not shower his hair would look greasy, and there is no way you could miss that.

Even thought it is a rumor, started by “The National Enquirer” and British tabloids, that doesn’t mean that it won’t be true. But sorry guys, right now it is a rumor.

ZE: My favorite prop on set was a basketball. But my favorite one that I kept was Troy’s ring, his class ring.
JJ: What was your favorite birthday gift?
ZE: Ashley [Tisdale] got me an Indo Board! It’s a balance training
tool… it kind of helps you with surfing.
I think what Ashley gave him was great. I did not realize they had something like that.

Johnny Depp will reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the film for £32 million.

That is false.
“No. I think it’s a great role but I was not approached, ” Zac told www.aceshowbiz.com.
Zac is thinking about acting in different genres other than musicals, “I think it’s important to always diversify, change it up and play different characters,” Efron said. “I think doing musicals all the time would get stale.”
Zac Efron in “Footloose.”
According to Michael Thornton, writer for www.digitalspy.co.uk, Kevin Bacon has given his blessing to Zac Efron for the up and coming remake of Footloose.
High School Musical director Kenny Ortega is working on a remake of the 1984 classic and believes Zac Efron would be “perfect” for the part of Ren McCormack, which was originally played by Kevin Bacon.
“I met Zac briefly at an event and we talked, only briefly, but he seemed like a really nice kid,” he told Heart FM. “I really do wish him all the best with it,” Bacon said.
I am starting to be able to picture Zac in the remake of the movie, but now what about the rest of the cast. I have some suggestions, if they would only ask me what I think.

According to www.contactmusic.com, Zac was upset when High School 3 wrapped. The cast had become family to him.
Efron tells WENN, “It was very emotional. It’s like a family that we’ve built. Throughout all of our other ventures - music or television or other movies - we’ve always had High School Musical to come back to.”
I know that they will keep in touch with the other cast members. I am sure that each and every cast mate feels the same way.

There Are Crazy People Out There
According to www.tmz.com, Zac Efron was attacked by a crazy, middle-aged man, who just happen to be caring a labtop. The guy ” verbally berated” Zac outside of a West End theater in London. The crazed attacker did get a hold of Zac’s head, but the guards finally got the man down, according to the Daily Mail.
That is so wrong in many ways. There have not been any charges filed. I do not understand why someone would attack Zac Efron that way.

Zac News
According to http://thebosh.com, Zac Efron had to put in some extra time learning the High School Musical 3 dances.
”I started rehearsals two weeks later than everybody else so I had to put in extra time to catch up,” Zac said. “I had to learn the waltz and some ballroom stuff, which was interesting. I do not know why people ever did it. It is so unbelievably hard. I thought ‘Was this really classed as fun?’ It was so difficult to learn. When I got the hang of it and got it down it was OK. Luckily with Vanessa, she is so easy to dance with. She kind of leads me. She made it a lot easier but we practiced a lot.”
They always make the waltz and ballroom dancing look simple on television. I am guessing, not by personal experience, that it is not as easy as it looks.

My last year of High School had a lot of hard choices and emotions. I was given the choice to graduate early or take part days, so I could graduate with my friends. I picked part days, whether it was the right choice or not - - I do not know. I was with my friends . . . Then again, maybe I was afraid to completely grow up, and go to college.
“Anyone who has been to high school knows senior year is the most exciting year,” Efron said, written in www.kansascity.com. “It’s the year you’ve been waiting for. It’s your transition into your adulthood. It can be scary, it can be exciting. Most of all, though, it’s confusing.”
He is right. It is scary, exciting and confusing rolled up in the disorganized package.
“The first two movies were fun, and I didn’t just want to do a third one to do a third one,” Efron said. “It feels like the fans demanded it, so we should deliver. We had to end this Wildcat legacy. And by now, we’ve learned what works and what doesn’t a lot better.”
It would not have been right just to leave it after the two HSM. There had to be closer. I wonder if Zac feels like he has graduated twice?

There have been many musicals that I have wanted to act in. One of them is “Grease.” I always wanted to play Sandy, but who wouldn’t. According to www.thecelebritycafe.com, Zac Efron would like to be in a remake of “Grease.”
“I love musicals! I’ve noticed that various movie studios want to get involved with making musicals and I think it’s great,” Zac told MyPark Magazine. “They’re making a comeback and so I think there should be more in the pipeline. Anytime there’s a musical, I’m up for being on board. It’s fun.”
Musical are making a comeback. There are many actors and actresses who are a triple threat.
Zac would love to play Danny Zuko, but there are just a few things. “If John was involved I’d do it. But without his consent there’s no way I could ever attempt a role like that. That’s too hard, he’s just too cool. He’s a stud!”
Zac was in the movie “Hairspray” with John Travolta.
Is Fame a Mixed Blessing for Zac?
According to David Chiu, writer for www.people.com, said that Zac Efron feels that fame was a “mixed blessing.”

“I’m not going to complain. But it’s something I’m learning to cope with, Zac continues.
He has a good attitude about being famous. You have to take the good with the bad.
So what about High School Musical 4, “The stakes are higher because there are real decisions to be made. What college are you going to? What happens to the girl? It’s fun watching Troy grow into a man!”
Zac Has His Eye On Another Musical
According to Daily Mirror, Zac Efron could be going to London to take the lead role in “Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat”. He would be taking over for Lee Mead.
Supposedly, Efron has talked to the talented Andrew Lloyd-Webber about taking over the role, in January when Lee leaves.
“Zac loves the role and is keen to clock up some stage time in London. For Hollywood actors a spell in the West End offers credibility and can be extremely lucrative… It is a marriage made in musical heaven.” an insider tells the Daily Mirror.
